  • Charles Finkel

Pours bright (pale yellow with green highlights) with a slight haze below big bubbles that quickly fade. Sensational nose is unique, a combination of beautifully balanced spices that makes you smile, like experiencing a great dish for the first time. The spices: coriander, orange, and lemongrass, follow through on the palate where they are nicely balanced with the slight acidity of the barley and wheat beer. Excellent with batata wada (potato fritters) with cilantro-lime sauce, and a beet, local blue cheese, and bacon salad with spiced bread croutons.

  • Charlie Papazian

A wit-wise, very pale color cast in a hazy opalescence; a dense froth of speechless foam, lingering triumphantly atop; a hunka, hunka burning love phenom of lemongrass, orange peel and zappy coriander. Well attenuated; fresh, lively and transfixing. Hop moments are but a childish squeak, yet the herbal symposium creates balance. This beer could have been named Shineblast.  Maybe that’s what I’ll name my next witful homebrew. Nice stuff.
