Beautiful contrast of the turbid, spun gold color and vigorous, tight, off-white head. Tutti fruity nose of peaches, strawberries, plums and clover honey is sole satisfying before the beer is even sipped. Rich, round, full-bodied, honey-like taste is distinct; different than a Bavarian Hefe but no less delicious. Serve with a cottage cheese salad with cucumbers, jalapenos, green pepper and radishes on lettuce picked fresh from the garden, dressed with honey vinaigrette – sensational!
Yowser! Waiter, there’s a banana in my beer! All great hefeweizens express banana to one degree or another―this one drops a bomb. Amber and cloudy with yeast and chill haze, Honey Hefe has negligible hop character and overall balance is honey sweet and very fruity.
