There may be a hop shortage in the world, but this beer portrays good use of whatever it has. Artistically clear, deep orange-copper with a sombrero of white foam. Appealing appearance to say the least. Rebuilders of New Orleans could learn a lesson from nearby Abita with this brew. Built to last. Quality made. Celebrating the pleasure of southern gems. Terrifically balanced malt flavor with floral, honey-like and fruity character of hops. A beer to make a craft beer enthusiast out of anyone. Pass the gumbo, and watch out for my Jockamo.

What do I like about this beer? Almost everything: the unusual cream-soda texture, the sack-load of hops, the zesty tangerine notes and the hints of caramel and nuts. The deep copper colour is warmly inviting; the aroma is simply terrific, bursting with hops, fruit, malt and vanilla. What don’t I like about this beer? Very little and it comes in the finish, which, despite being enjoyably creamy, bitter and hoppy, is ever-so-slightly thick and cloying. Great flavors, though.
