Beer Institute Backs Rollback Of Federal Excise Tax

In a recent press release, the Beer Institute announced its support for a legislative bill that would roll back the federal  excise tax on beer to its pre-1991 level of $9 per barrel. “There has long been industry-wide support for rolling back the federal excise tax, which unfairly targets the beer industry,” said Joe McClain, president of the Beer Institute.
