Odell Brewing Company releases Mountain Standard Double Black IPA to celebrate the end of Daylight Savings time. The beer pours rich and dark and boasts a spicy hop nose. It is brewed using locally-grown Cascade and Chinook hops and dark roasted malts. It will be available in 750 ml caged-and-corked bottles and is 9.5 percent ABV.

I just tasted this beer at the Beer Bloggers Conference – the hour it was released! I wrote about live as we tasted, and did a quick recap later, on my blog BitchinBrews.com. It’s a pretty spicy beer, but with 5lbs of hops per barrel, it’s a damn fine IPA!
