This limited release beer from Idaho’s Laughing Dog Brewery pours black with a thick, tan head that fades quickly. Smoky notes melt into roasted and dried fruit aromas with just a slight essence of bourbon rising up from below. Bitter burnt espresso and toffee mouthfeel with a dry finish. The chocolate becomes more prevalent further into the pint. A little rough around the edges like its namesake, this dog does pack a powerful bite at 11 percent ABV. Awesome label.
