A persistent, freezing rain pounds the window outside. Palm shaded beaches, fluffy clouds and a boat reflecting the silvery sea beckon Port Royal (Honduras, the label tells me in tiny type). The color of paradise is sun-drenched straw with a sparse head. Clean describes the nonchalant nose, and moderate mouthfeel. A sprightly effervescence saves the day, providing just enough character to accompany conch cocktail, ceviche and shrimp salad. Winter weather can be a beach. Just warm up with well chilled Port Royal.

In this day and age, another light lager imported into the U.S. in a green bottle reminds of one of Yogi Berra’s famous lines, “Nobody goes anymore, it’s too crowded.” Light, clear lager having somewhat of a wine-like and corn aroma: not unpleasant. Overwhelming initial sweet flavor assassinates the simple hop bitterness that follows. Refreshing lager from a tropical climate. It may work in Honduras, but here in the U.S., I reckon it’s destined to find a niche wherever Hondurans meet and celebrate. Take me to a Honduran beach and you’ll see me with Port Royal.

I enjoy a great beer, I travel the world to learn about a counties language, history culture, religion, and whatever it has to offer. This is one of the best tasting beers I have ever expirenced. The creamy head and smooth flavor is very drinkable . Is it avaible in upstate New York? If not I know a distributor who may be interested .
    Thank you
    Bud
