ABV: 9.1
ABW: 8.16
Color: 36
Bitterness: 35
Original gravity: n/a

Held up to the light, this beer is so black that even the North Star itself wouldn’t shine through. Pours beautifully with a fine head of tan bubbles, though the head does not last long. Nose of licorice and dried fruit hints of a strong beer; the label fails to indicate the ABV, in the writers opinion, a responsibility of craft brewers. Luscious on the palate with plenty of hops to balance the roasted maltiness. Just right with a luncheon of beef Stroganoff and buttered egg noodles. For dessert we dipped panettone infused with chocolate chunks in the beer.
- Charles Finkel
If you’re looking up everything seems north… and this brew is up there. Deep dark mysterious and winter on the solstice. Profound hop and roast malt bitterness follows delirious cocoa and fruity aromas. Graceful velvet texture summons an hankering for aged cheese. This Imperial Porter is a one cool cat with a noble meow. Take a long breath, this brew grows on you with each tantalizing sip. Shineblast, if I don’t say so myself.
