Very pale in color (like an un-oaked chardonnay). Nicely carbonated, with a good dose of apple crispness and buttery apple pulp. There's enough tartness to stand up to the sweeter notes (this isn't one of those cloying, overly sweet ciders), but my preference would still be for a little less sweetness. Clean finish. (Try it on the rocks like I did. It tones down the sweetness and makes for a very refreshing drink.)

Welcome to "Beer Cider Talk." I do enjoy a glass of good cider now and then, but unlike most North Americans, I tend to like mine dry, drier and driest, which precludes most domestic and virtually all the readily available imported hard ciders. Still, even for my tastes, this pale-hued, Vermont-grown cider has its appeal, with a yeasty, off-dry aroma and tangy apple flesh flavor zinged up by hints of citrus zest and very faint vanilla. Just the thing with a plate of sausage, beans and chips.
