Hazy gold to orange. Fresh limes from a distance. A hint of malt sweetness on the nose makes it more like citrus soda or the smell of a citrus candy with nose in the glass. Lemon juice and grapefruit pith on the palate. Elevated carbonation with a satisfying slight chewiness to the mouthfeel. Refreshing, to be sure. Somewhat reminiscent of a margarita overall.

I’d be lying if I said I would’ve picked up on the namesake ingredient had I not known the beer was brewed with it. Instead, I get a citric burst of lime and lemon, with that lactic acidity and a touch of mustiness as you might find in a gose. An ingredient some might dismiss as a novelty is perfectly integrated here.
