This is a beer that looks just like its name, with a brassy golden hue and a faint white head that slides to the side of the glass. Slightly skunky aromas of overripe limes and lemons mingle with a grainy sweetness. The flavors follow suit with a light citrus presence and a malty sweetness that ends with a sour lemony bitterness. The mouthfeel is slightly velvety and lightly carbonated, helping to make this beer finish as smooth as a summer day.

Here’s a beer to perk you up after a long, hot summer’s day. Pouring bright, pale and golden, it looks refreshing for a start, and then the aroma sets the tastebuds tingling with anticipation as juicy citrus hop notes – grapefruit and orange to the fore – leap from the glass. To add to the refreshment, the carbonation is slightly raised and this works well with the zesty citrus and pine notes in the taste, where sweetness plays second fiddle to a dry bitterness. A lively, crisp beer with a dry, pithy finish.
