Rexam Provides Genesee Brewery With 100-Millionth Can

By Win Bassett - November 8, 2012

CHICAGO, IL – Rexam, a global leader in beverage can manufacturing, recently produced its 100-millionth 24 oz. can for The Genesee Brewery – one of the oldest and continually operating breweries in the U.S.

Rexam first began supplying 24 oz. cans for single-serve versions of Genesee, Genny Light, Genesee Ice, Genesee Cream Ale and The Original Honey Brown Lager in 2010, when the brewery installed a new 24 oz. production line.

“We are pleased to see our partnership with the Genesee Brewery reach this milestone as we work together to provide their beers to consumers in this popular package,” said Rich Grimley, president and CEO, Rexam Beverage Can North America. “It’s another example of how Rexam is serving customers’ needs for specialty size beverage cans. We will continue to work closely with our customers and extend our leadership across the specialty category to help our customers realize their growth objectives.”

Genesee’s 24 oz. cans are available at retail locations nationwide.
