NEW YORK—Today marks the official launch of the Best Damn Brewing Co., a brand platform with a simple mission: to bring you the Best Damn thing you’ve had all day. On shelves now, Best Damn Root Beer is the brand’s first mission released nationally and the first hard root beer produced by Anheuser-Busch. It’s a full-flavored, well-balanced take on a favorite classic taste, aged on real vanilla beans during the brewing process.

“We’ve seen a growing consumer interest in sweeter taste profiles, and we jumped at the opportunity to brew an easy-drinking, hard root beer,” said Rashmi Patel, vice president, Share of Throat, Anheuser-Busch. “People like beers that are approachable, down-to-earth and don’t take themselves too seriously, so Best Damn Brewing Co. aims to bring all the flavor without any of the fuss.”

Best Damn Brewing Co. exists within the portfolio of Anheuser-Busch brands and leverages the talent of its brewmasters and its state-of-the-art brewing facilities across the U.S. to deliver great-tasting brews. To support the launch of Best Damn Root Beer, the brand plans to use some of Anheuser-Busch’s most iconic media assets, such as a 70-foot Jumbotron in Times Square, and tap into Anheuser-Busch’s extensive investment in sports properties, including over 80 professional team and stadium/venue partnerships.

“We’re constantly testing new ideas and we’re excited to bring more to the market through the Best Damn Brewing Co. brand in 2016,” added Patel.

Best Damn Root Beer is available at bars, clubs and restaurants, as well as grocery and liquor stores across the U.S. in six-packs of bottles, 16-oz. cans, and on draught. To learn more about Best Damn Brewing Co. and Best Damn Root Beer, fans are encouraged to visit bestdamn.com and follow @BestDamnBrewing on Twitter and Instagram.

What are the ingredients? Is it gluten free?

Best Damn Root Beer is brewed with barley malt so it has just as much gluten in it as regular beer. It’s poor practice by A.B. to not put this on the table or at least the six pack box.

That’s actually incorrect. Most malts liquers are actually gluten free.. It just depends on whether it’s only barley or partially barley based

I’ve looked everywhere for an ingridients list and can’t find one. So I decided to risk the gluten having heard such great things about the drink. It tastes like beer, a sweet beer. Besides being a let down in the root beer department I feel awful today after drinking it last night. This leads me to believe that it is not gluten free and is brewed like a traditional beer.
A side note to the company: you really should make your ingridients list avaliable so those of us with food allergies aren’t taking a gamble when trying your drink.

it’s not apple flavored beer like red apple, it’s hard apple cider.
        It’s gluten free

Really disappointed that it’s not gluten free, like AB’s Red Bridge beer. I don’t understand why they (AB) don’t at least label it as a “malt” beverage.

I looked for the malt label too! But once I found this web site while shopping I knew to put it back, I was hopeful due to red bridge beer too!

It’s made with sassafras tree bark. Coney Island is made with Birch tree bark .. I drink Rootbeer soda all the time … Most sodas are made with artificial flavoring .. But a lot of the new beers an malt beverages are going to natural . Can anyone Please tell me if Best Dam Rootbeer is made with any tree bark or real sassafras.. I can seem to find ingredients for it ..

Most beer recipes are secret and not openly advertised. Even the big company such as AB will not openly tell the public what they use in their products. I personally wouldn’t want to know exactly what they put in their pis* beer anyways! Educated beer advocates know that adjuncts like rice don’t go in beer products. ..period!
