The breweries in this list still have their work cut out for them, but because of their passion or some other intangible, you can expect big things from them at some point in the future.
Croucher Brewing (Rotorua, North Island): Opened only two years ago, Croucher is situated in the heart of tourist country. They make a pale Ale, a pils and a hefe, using a different yeast strain for each. And they’ve had great success with a commemorative ordinary bitter for local college sports, called Brewni.
Waiheke Island Brewery (near Auckland, North Island): An oasis of beer on a picturesque island filled with wineries, and with beautiful packaging. If only what was inside the bottles was a little better.
