Atlanta, GA
Style: Wheat wine
ABV: 11
Staff Review: Much more amber than red with a lot of burgundy highlights, and the head shows some brown tints. The aroma has a lot of black cheeries, candy and sweet wheat toast. The mouthfeel is medium and there isn’t a lot of heat for such a high ABV beer. The flavor leads with a rich caramel at the beginning, laying down a fabulous malt base. The finish has a lot of citrus, chardonnay, alcohol, and dryness. An exceedingly complex beer that would go well with a nice blue veined cheese or a plate of mixed berries. While we enjoyed the beer, reading the label made the experience even more interesting.
