A skinny tall blonde with a sexy can shouts hops from the second her tab is pulled! Floral and bitter hops are ever-present—in the nose, on the palate and in the aftertaste. That said, herbal overload is balanced and exceedingly delicious combined with a high-gravity beer of substance and breeding. Overpowering? Not with the right meal! Wonderful with spicy homemade chili topped with grated organic cheddar and finished with an arugula salad with pickled hop shoots, and after, with Fran’s salted caramels for dessert.

Pale golden hop-hazed ale pours with excitement. Head retention clings to my glass. A promise of hops in the aroma but not at a galactic level. Boasting lots of bitterness that becomes evident after the full malt body gives way to lingering-yet-soft hop flavor and assault. There’s a lip-smacking deliciousness to this hoppy beer, as though hop character is a catalyst for appreciation of other accompanying flavors. Mysteriously delicious. A meal accompaniment or after-meal top-off for sure. Great job, brewmaster.
