Beautiful pour—bright, deep golden ale with a sprightly head of minute bubbles that holds and holds. Traces of goodness remain on the glass. Fine floral nose, spicy—balanced. The palate is on the sweet side, with enough acidity to compliment it. Creative idea this is—a spiced IPA. Hops are a spice. Why not add other? Try with a Moroccan meal, spicy with dried fruit.

Beware of the foam because there’s plenty of it released in the pour. The whipped foam entices and dissipates invitingly, revealing partial nakedness. Wildness ensues. A bit of wild fermentation character evolves and the nose and mouth react. Farmhouse memories with a hop bitterness that kicks the palate. For farmhouse beer lovers who love IPA, this is a ticket to the barnyard. Warmth of alcohol titillates and lingers. Now I lay me down to sleep…
