  • Charles Finkel

Pours a bright penny-copper with a quickly fading head. Fresh nose is smoked with a hint of subtle spice. Full in flavor but somewhat one-dimensional. It is malty and slightly sweet, round and clean. Shared with friends over smoked potato soup finished with a chili-infused olive oil: it was a hit.

  • Charlie Papazian

Jewel-like amber gem clarity. Toasted sweet malt aroma mingles with a subtle and compelling hint of smoke. Neither flamboyant nor fierce, this brew shrewdly engages. I’m drawn back sip after sip. Skillfully balanced and worthy of a piece of your wallet or purse. Nicely done hop/malt balance, though hops are on the light side. Easy drinking specialty brew. It’s got personality.
