Live Music at World Beer Festival Raleigh

Whether you attend the first or second session of World Beer Festival Raleigh, you’ll get to enjoy live music while sampling your way through the festival’s selections. The afternoon crowd will be treated to bluegrass from The Hey Brothers, while the afternoon crowd will get the funk neo-soul stylings of Howie DeWitt.

Attendees of both the first and second sessions will be able to strap on some headphones to take part in the silent disco with DJ SPCLGST.

The Hey BrothersThe Hey Brothers

Playing from 12-4 p.m. during the first session

On a dark and stormy night…five friends gathered to play and sing, the old, the new, the borrowed and  the blues. The picking was good, the midnight hour came and went. Driving to work the next morning would take extra caffeine. They discovered how much they really enjoyed the work that didn’t feel like work, the laughs, the sound of trio harmonies and the natural ease finding the elusive groove.

“We’ve gotta find the time to do this again, this is fun. It’s bona fide !” they said. Several dark and stormy nights later a moniker for the five was chosen.

They call themselves The Hey Brothers, “Makers of Fine Bluegrass”

Playing from 6-10 p.m. during the second session

Who is the band that connects with the crowd and launches the party into a gyrating frenzy with bangin’ backbeats, the bass to shake the waist, musical mashups, soulful songwriting and passionate vocals? The ones who are building a following up and down the east coast? If you didn’t know, now you know… this is Howie DeWitt! The funk neo-soul group’s streamlined approach will pull you in and set your spirit free. When you come to a show, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, we don’t want anyone to get hurt!
