Posted January 15, 2013 by Win Bassett

Flat 12 Bierwerks announces it will begin distribution in Nashville, Tennessee later this January. Ajax Turner has been selected as the distributor. This is the first distribution outside of Indiana for the brewery.

Flat 12’s Co-Founder and Director of Brewing Operations, Rob Caputo said, “We’ve had a really nice groundswell of support from the Nashville community, people who either visited us in Indianapolis or welcomed us with open arms when we’ve traveled to Nashville for festivals. We’re excited to be a part of it.”

Flat 12 offers a core line-up of beers: Half Cycle IPA, Pogue’s Run Porter, Hello My Name is Amber, Upside Down Blonde and Walkabout Pale Ale. Beginning in March of 2013, Flat12 Bierwerks will debut a line-up of seasonal brews. Of these seasonal offerings, Nunmoere Black, an American Black Ale, will hit shelves first, followed by Cucumber Kolsch(summer), Flat Jack Pumpkin Ale(fall) and Lacto-Matic Milk Stout(winter).

Flat 12 Bierwerks is a production craft brewer from Indianapolis, Indiana.  Co-Founder and Head Brewer, Rob Caputo blends craft with technical expertise to produce an outstanding line-up of beers. The name Flat 12 is derived from the flathead 12-cylinder engine, a powerful beast of an engine, emblematic of Indianapolis’ turn of the century rise as an automotive manufacturing and motorsports capital. The “Bierwerks” Germanic spelling offers a nod to the strong German cultural influence, felt in and around the historic Holy Cross neighborhood Flat12 calls home.
