Austin Beerworks Sales Up Nearly 400% in 2012

(Austin, TX) – Austin Beerworks, a canning microbrewery in its second year of production, is on pace to increase sales nearly 400% over the previous year, making it one of the fastest growing breweries in the country.  The brewery credits a strong local following for its success.  “With the exception of a few festivals and special events in other cities, 100% of our sales are in Austin”, says Austin Beerworks co-founder Michael Graham.  “We’re selling everything we can make within a 20 mile radius of the brewery.  Austin is an amazing beer town.”

Excel Bottling Co. Brewing to Craft Beer

ST. LOUIS - Excel Bottling Company has created and bottled soda in the small Illinois town of Breese for more than 75 years. This year, the still family-owned and –operated company added brewing beer to its expertise. The newly finished brewery began brewing on Sept. 26 the first of three labels to be introduced in 2012 marking the beginning of a new era at the third-generation local business. The company will produce two additional labels next spring and summer.
