(New York, NY) – New York City’s northernmost craft brewery, The Bronx Brewery, has named Sean McCain as its new Sales Director and a Partner in the company.
Sean, who had been a Sales Manager at Victory Brewing Company, will be in charge of all sales operations of the growing business and will be based in the company’s South Bronx office. “We are excited to have Sean join the team and drive our efforts to share our Bronx beers with more people in more boroughs,” says General Manager, Chris Gallant.
Sean brings years of craft beer sales experience to the team. Before joining The Bronx Brewery team, he managed sales throughout New York and Connecticut for Victory Brewing, managing nine different beer distributers throughout the two states. He helped to grow the brand to become the 27th largest craft brewery in the United States through 2011. Prior to Victory Brewing, Sean worked as a Business Development Sales Representative for Union Beer Distributers in New York City. Sean is also certified a Cicerone Beer Server.
Sean holds a BFA from Ohio University. He lives with his partner Kiana Malekzadeh in Hastings on Hudson, NY along with their dogs Bubsy, Reesie and their cranky cat Uncle Wiley. Sean has been a fixture in the NYC craft beer scene since he moved from Seattle in 2003. It was living in the Pacific Northwest that his love for all things craft beer first developed. “I remember tasting fresh Cascade hops in an IPA while the Cascade mountain range loomed around me and realized that I could never go back to the yellow fizzy beer I grew up with,” Sean recalls. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Sean is a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan, avid dart player and beer collector.
About The Bronx Brewery
The Bronx Brewery is a craft brewery and distributor based in the South Bronx. It was launched in 2011 by a small team with two things in common: a maniacal focus on creating high-quality beer and a passion for the Bronx and New York City. Its traditionally-crafted ales use only premium and minimally-processed materials to create fresh, bold beer from a borough known for its own uniquely bold character. The team is enthused to bring a rich brewing tradition back to the Bronx and craft a beer that the people of the Bronx and New York City can be proud to call their own.
