(Novato, CA) – Northern California was well represented at the 20th Annual Australian International Beer Awards(AIBA) www.beerawards.com, a beer competition whose global reputation has been reinforced by a panel of judges consisting of some of the industry’s most esteemed personnel.
This year the AIBAs had a record 1,344 brews entered from 41 countries. Owner Brendan Moylan and Brewmaster Denise Jones were on hand for the 2012 Melbourne Good Beer Week and made an impression on many of the beer enthusiasts who participated in the activities throughout the region. Moylan’s Brewery & Restaurant garnered 10 awards in the following categories:
India Pale Ale – Nor Cal IPA (Gold), Specialty Beer – Hop Craic (Gold), Dry Stout – Dragoon’s Dry Irish Stout (Silver),Scotch Ale - Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale (Silver), Barleywine – Old Blarney Barleywine (Bronze), Specialty Beer – Chocolate Porter (Bronze), International Style Pale Ale – Tipperary Pale Ale (Bronze), Double IPA – Moylander Double IPA (Bronze), Imperial Stout - Ryan Sullivan’s Imperial Stout (Bronze).
