According to a newsletter that just surfaced from Beer Business Daily, Yuengling is in the final stage of purchasing the former Coors Brewery in Memphis. Coors had shutdown the brewery in 2006. It was then sold to Hardy Bottling Facility. The move, says the newsletter, has industry folks speculating that Yuengling may be in geographic expansion mode. For me, go here.
