Dominion Brewing Set to Release Double IPA

Posted June 19, 2012 by Win Bassett

(Dover, DE) – The Dominion Brewing Company is set to roll out “Double D,” a double IPA, at the beginning of July.

Double D, the second of Dominion’s pin-up inspired “Bomber Girls,” is a full-bodied Imperial India Pale Ale that flaunts sultry guava, mango and tropical fruit aromas, as a result of dry hopping with Citra and Simcoe hops.  Brewed with light toasted malts and Bravo bittering hops, this double delights with smooth warming alcohols and a torrid finish.  A daring draft, she is available for a limited duration; deploying at 10.2% ABV and 90 IBUs.  Double D will be available in 22oz bottles and on draft.

Master Brewer Walter Trifari stated, “Because this beer is bottle conditioned at 10.2% ABV, it will cellar well.  Drink one now and save one for later.”

Fordham and Old Dominion have been brewing high quality beverages in Dover, Delaware since 2003.  They provide tours of the brewery (located at 1284 McD Dr., Dover, DE) and provide samples of their products, such as Scotch Ale, Oak Barrel Stout, Baltic Porter and Copperhead Ale every Wednesday at 5:00 and 6:00pm, Friday at 4:30 and 6:00pm and Saturday at 12:30 and 2:00 pm.  For more information, visit olddominion.comfordhambrewing.com or contact Lauren Bigelow at 302.678.4810 Ext. 201.

I’m sure Otto’s in State College, PA would be interested in how Dominion came up with the name for this one.
