Boulevard Brewing Co. Seeyoulater Doppelbock

Posted October 12, 2010 by Greg Barbera

The Kansas City, MO-based Boulevard Brewing Co. has announced the release of their fall seasonal Seeyoulater Doppelbock. The beer is part of the brewery’s Smokestack Series and comes in a a caged-and-corked 750 ml bottle. Cedar aging as a bit of spice to the finish but you can expect malty sweetness  balanced out by Hallertau hops. It is medium amber in color with banana notes and weighs in at 8,5 percent ABV.

Get yours on tap at “Jack Cage’s” at 52nd and Main Street. One of only a few places in the Brookside area that serves a decent tap beer. You know, a beer that has those little bubbles in it, served in a clean glass. I certainly cant say the same for Mikes on Troost, The Brooksider, And most certainly not Charlie Hooper’s. Worst tap beer in Kansas City! Dont buy a beer from Hoopers unless it’s in a bottle! How a place can get away with serving such deplorably flat beers, I’ll never know. At least Mikes offers sweet deals on tallboys, world class GT and while the B-Sider is a dive, it certainly has wicked HDTV’s all over the joint. Great place for sports. Hooper’s reams of dirty old man cigarette smoke, crap taps and the only remaining Golden Tee 1997 version left on earth, their TV’s are not cable ready and what’s with that shitstain that’s been on the toilet wall since 1996?
