Beer of the Week

BrewDog Dogma

Posted December 16, 2009 by mobeer

I was recently in Miama, FL, and thought I wasn’t going to find a decent beer bar in the area. To my surprise, while shopping with my wife, I stumbled upon The Pub in Pembroke Pines. As I approached the bar I couldn’t help but notice the cask ale. And it wasn’t just any cask ale, but one from Scotland’s finest BrewDog! I had to pinch myself. I wasn’t sure where I was because it didn’t feel like Miami. I felt transported to the old continent after my first sip. BrewDog’s Dogma, with and ABV of 7.8 percent, was quite intimidating: an ale brewed with guarana, poppy seed, kola nut and blended with honey; plenty of flavors to twist your tongue. I normally look for a pairing to all my beers but this one was better enjoyed all alone.
