On the latest Beervana podcast, Jeff Alworth speaks with Ben Love of Gigantic Brewing Co. in Portland, Oregon. Love recently travelled to China as part of the 8×8 Brewing Project, which paired eight breweries from the Pacific Northwest with eight breweries from China in its inaugural year. The collaboration beers were poured at the 8×8 Festival in Beijing last month.

Love discusses his experience and impression of the beer scene in China.

Jeff Alworth is the author of The Secrets of Master Brewers, The Beer Bible and Cider Made Simple. You can find him blogging at Beervana. Patrick Emerson is a professor of economics at Oregon State University as well as a research fellow at the Center for Applied Microeconomic Research at the São Paulo School of Economics (C-Micro). You can also find him blogging at Beeronomics.
