Perfect pour: deep golden amber crowned with a luscious, fluffy head. The clean nose of hops has a floral sweetness that is pleasant and not overwhelming. It is on the palate that the profusion of hops makes a statement: more is better, but is it? Though the brew is well made, the hops are so omnipresent that they coat the palate with an overwhelming bitterness that fights with all but the spiciest foods. After several attempts to match it with food, we discovered that it was just right for really fiery dishes like Szechuan Hot Pot, Lamb Vindaloo, or Cajun Gumbo with Crystal Hot Sauce.

Bright, clear copper, with a thick creamy head and legs. Big hops in the nose with floral, grapefruit rind and peppery notes. Smooth and creamy on the palate, a bit chewy and juicy, too. Passion fruit, citrus rind, grapefruit, apples and soft herbal character. Bitter, dry, acidic with an aspirin edge. Layers of semi-pungent hops. Fresh, green, pine, resin, spice and hint of soap. Gritty and leafy with an ashy finish, some biscuity malt and hay. Bone-dry and more-ish. And we want more.
