Drawing on the label indicates that this is a beer for lovers—which one isn’t? Complex depth of color for a golden ale. Rocky head leaves lovely lace on the glass. Islay malt nose, like Laphroaig Scotch, has a pleasant and distinct iodine edge. Smoked character is slightly overpowering to the lightness of the malt on the palate. Scant hop character. Clean, smoky aftertaste lingers. Enjoyed with smoked wild boar, spätzel, winter root vegetables au gratin with smoked cheese and toasted dense black bread.

Brewed with the German style of a fascinating dense, rich and everlasting head. Wow! Just looking at it lets you know this is gonna be good. Pale golden with slight chill haze. Aroma is gently smoky and malty. Slight sweet floral hop aroma sneaks out. But it’s what’s happening in the flavor that makes you want to shout! Tremendously perfect for a smoke-malt lager. A true comfort beer. Great with all kinds of food. Another well-brewed classic. Lovin’ every drop.
