A big and complex finish with a powerful punch of bitter hops and tangy fruit. A magnificent beer with great depth of character.

Beautiful amber color and delightfully low-talking head. Grand aromatics to match. This is a very satisfying beer: great malt-hop balance. This is definitely a "must drink" brew, especially for a hophead such as myself. It’s a good thing this is a 22-oz bottle, because it’s difficult to quit and nice to have so much.

Somewhat rustic in nature. Fragrant, spicy (piney) aroma with background caramel, maple syrup and light toffee. The same sweet notes are on the palate. It’s yeasty too, with an emerging resinous, citrus, somewhat tannic, bitterness peaking on the finish. This is a very tactile beer, offering up a textural experience as well as flavors. It’s like driving with one wheel on the road and one in the ditch. Not the smoothest ride, but it sure is exciting.
