Mean Old Tom is a stout brewed with two-row pale, chocolate, roasted barley, Midnight Wheat and Caramel 40L malts and flaked oats. It is hopped with Magnum and Centennial hops and aged on vanilla beans.

Perfect pour, more like a milkshake than a beer. Moonscape head over a silky chocolate robe leaves a lace curtain as it slowly recedes. Nose is enchanting, like being in an old-fashioned candy store. Big mouthfeel is round, rich and malty, coating the palate with luscious floral, earthy and spicy flavors. Finish is clean and wholesome. It would be great with our Dungeness crab, and, I am sure, Maine lobster! We loved it with hangtown fry, an omelet made with local Kumamoto oysters; fougasse bread; and truffle hash brown potatoes.
