Lynnwood Grill Once You Go Black

Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern
Raleigh, NC
7% | Black India Pale Ale
While Lynnwood Grill has been a mainstay in North Raleigh for years, it wasn’t until two years ago it opened a brewery with a Michigan brewer who knows his stuff. Poured from a growler, the liquid is deep brown with a dark tan head. Licorice is the first smell to hit the nose but there is some dank pine hanging around, too. The licorice translates to the flavor but is joined by semisweet chocolate, pine needles and onion grass. This beer has all the characteristics you would expect from the style. Just remember, once you go … well you know.
