Hop In The Dark
May 30, 2012 Bitter espresso and bakers chocolate mouthfeel is followed by a dry, cigar-ash accentuated, dark roasted malt finish. Complex. Will probably appeal more to dark roasted malt and stout fans than hop heads. -->A Cascadian Dark Ale, Hop in the Dark pours black with an inch thick head. Smells like a hop bomb with notes of tangerine pulp and grapefruit rind but has the color of a stout. Bitter espresso and bakers chocolate mouthfeel is followed by a dry, cigar-ash accentuated, dark roasted malt finish. Complex. Will probably appeal more to dark roasted malt and stout fans than hop heads.
