It is a nearly bright gold with an exorbitant lightish head—lovely! It is tart, like cider, and slightly sour, complex and full of different flavors (spices), all complementary and even a little sea salt. Yum! We prepared a breakfast brunch with whole rye bread, fresh cherries and strawberries, herring in a gose-infused sour cream sauce, all finished with fresh rhubarb and dark chocolate bread pudding.

Truly golden—there seems to be sunshine in this special brew. Effervescent with plenty of carbonation. Aroma is a complex suggestion of citrus from lemon verbena and a clean, one-dimensionally refreshing lactic acid character. The San Francisco Bay salt doesn’t emerge to detectable levels on my palate, probably contributing to a subtle “roundness” and texture. Interesting and refreshing enough to recommend that you embark on your own expedition. Try this beer.
