Funky Buddha Sweet Potato Casserole

October 14, 2015
Reviewers: Ken Weaver

Funky Buddha Sweet Potato CasseroleFunky Buddha Sweet Potato Casserole

Funky Buddha Brewery

Oakland Park, Florida

7.9% | Strong Ale w/ Sweet Potatoes, Vanilla, & Spices

Released Sept. 1, Funky Buddha‘s highly touted Sweet Potato Casserole delivers magic as promised. The spice plus vanilla plus sweet potato additions never feel heavy, and they’re kept aloft by brisk carbonation. The overall mouthfeel feels neither astringent from spice nor overly weighty from the starch. The net effect is toasty, vanilla-spice laden and just sweet enough to balance the nutmeg and clove. Super on point as far as that name goes. Alcohol is quietly tucked away. Appropriate for the turkey table.
