Batch 555 Isis Double IPA

Sun King Brewing Co.’s Isis is a double IPA based on their Osiris pale ale with a “spicy malt base” as they say.

This beer pours amber with a half inch thick white head that quickly dissipates. Huge citrus notes. Think overripe mango and grapefruit rind. Mouthfeel isn’t as overly resinous as most DIPAs but still is high enough in alpha acids to make the enamel on your teeth chirp. Medium-to-full body with a caramelized red onion in brown sugar-accentuated finish. A delicious and dangerously quaffable 9 percent beer.
