A slightly hazy golden-amber and a frothy head recedes quietly to a lovely, delicate lace on top. The aroma is at first an all-apricot wallop that is followed by just a whisper of wheat. The initial sip reveals that the nose knows: it's all apricot, all the time with this beer. The first sips are a lip-smackingly giant jolt of clean, ripe apricot, fresh off the tree. A touch of wheat spiciness comes through close to the end, giving the beer a bit more complexity and saving it from tasting like liquid jam. There is a nice amount of carbonation that keeps this beer on its toes and helps prevent it from being too cloying. If you like apricot, this is a brew for you.

This shiny golden, Canadian brew does what it says on the label, packing lots of fruit flavor yet remaining very clearly a beer. Creamy apricot notes are central to the character, juicy and welcoming in the aroma and fleshy and floral in the taste. But the key to success lies in the fact that this is not too sweet, and also in that there is plenty of body to shore up the fruit. When it comes to the finish, I like the mellow softness and gentle bitterness. Apricot never dies but at the same time it's not overbearing either. A pleasant drink.
