Named after a Mississippi River marker, this beer has a pale bronze color with grapefruit and mango on the nose along with fruity Northwest hops. Growing hop bitterness dominates the palate with juicy malt and bittersweet fruit. The finish is shatteringly dry, bitter, hoppy and quenching.

This beer has a fine burnished gold color with a slight haze and a loose-knit foam that falls back quickly. The nose features a nice mélange of American hop aromatics, largely focused on the citrusy end of the range (and avoiding the dankness and cattiness that’s so prevalent these days). The bitterness is bracing and mineral-driven, with lightly biscuit malt in the passenger seat. The finish is clean, dry and lingering. A finely fashioned pale ale for hopheads—not quite an IPA, but very close. It will make a very good match for a fiery Thai green curry.
