Highly sour vinegar notes with intense cherry character on the nose. The sourness gives way to refreshing cherry juice and barrel character with a warming and dry finish brimming with stone fruit flavors. Ruby red in color. There’s a chalkiness from start to finish. One panelist called this a “kriek with training wheels”—simple, not too complex or sour. Pair with fine Belgian dark chocolate.
