21st Amendment El Camino (Un)Real

January 23, 2017

21st Amendment Brewery w/ Stone Brewing & Firestone Walker Brewing Co.

El Camino (Un)Real
San Leandro, California
Style: Dark Ale w/ Fennel & Chia Seeds, Peppercorns & Mission Figs ABV: 9.5%

Delicately spiced, delightfully dark and deep with booze, this is like a warm hug on a cold day. (We thought of a cozy European café that’s known for chocolate pfeffernüsse cookies.) It’s comforting—a little sweet, an herbal pinch, plus a silky, full mouthfeel—and it should be your winter go-to. This is a throwback to not-so-long ago when brewers would get together, get out of their comfort zones and create a beer that they’d want to drink with one another.
