World of Beer Releases Private Label Beer

By Staff - May 31, 2013

TAMPA, FL—World of Beer (WOB) is excited to announce the release of their very first private label beer brewed exclusively for distribution at World of Beer Taverns. The beer, C’est la Vie! will be available at all World of Beer locations nationwide on June 1.

World of Beer had the desire to create a craft beer that would be approachable by the most novice of beer consumers, as well as provide a unique and complex experience for the most experienced beer aficionado.

“Our goal was to create a beer that fit the World of Beer brand,” said Marc Sawyer, Director of Brewery and Distributor Relations for World of Beer Franchising, Inc. “It’s a very approachable beer, yet has enough unique qualities to really stand out.  We wanted to combine our passion for beer with Bavik’s passion for brewing.”

World of Beer partnered with Bavik Brewery, a Belgium-based brewery with an impressive list of accomplishments. Bavik Brewery has been the recipient of several awards, including the World Beer Award for World’s Best Wood Aged Flavored Beer and Europe’s Best Oud Bruin.

“To be in collaboration with such an accomplished and successful brewery has been a great experience,” said World of Beer Franchising, Inc. CEO Paul Avery. “We’ve been so lucky to take our love of beer and develop something completely new and specific to the WOB brand.”

World of Beer was the deciding force in the overall style of the beer, and was able to provide extensive input to Bavik Brewery throughout the production of the beer. It was a rewarding experience for both parties involved, as Bavik Brewery was able to break away from tradition while using, Belgian-grown hops, adding a new flavor dimension typically not seen in Belgian beers.

“For the dry hopping we tested more than ten different hops, and finally selected a combination of two very special hops for this beer,” said Pieter Maes, a brewer at Bavik. “However, we did not have a lot of experience with the dry hopping used to develop C’est la Vie! This kind of project gives us the opportunity to broaden our scope and push our boundaries.”

C’est la Vie will be exclusively available at World of Beer locations for a limited time. During the month of June, World of Beer will be offering the chance for loyalty club members to try eight different Belgian beers from Global Beer Network (C’est la Vie! being one of them) in order for the chance to win a trip to Belgium. The program will be called Pints to Paradise and it’s a part of their micro-loyalty program that will give members an opportunity to enjoy this World of Beer exclusive beer with even more enthusiasm.  Select locations will be participating in the Pints To Paradise program.

The exclusive beer is not the first announcement World of Beer has made this summer. The fast-growing franchise has also introduced their ‘Tavern Fare’ menu, complete with tavern-style favorites including soft pretzels, flatbreads and brats. The items on their new menu embody the craft-style experience and pair well with the collection of brews available at World of Beer. Much of the fare uses different types of craft beer in the ingredients, making this ‘Tavern Fare’ menu unique and appreciative of the WOB culture.

WOB steadily rewards its customers by offering a Loyalty Club Program that enables them to earn points on trying different beers. Guests earn one point for every different beer purchased at WOB, gaining them access, appreciation and rewards. The program is available to all guests, and is easily accessible through the app (available for iPhone and Android smartphones). It’s WOB culture in the palm of your hand.

WOB was founded in Tampa, FL in 2007. Taverns are currently open in 13 states (FL, AL, VA, TX, WI, OH, IL, NC, GA, AZ, CO, SC and WA). Locations to soon follow are Katy, TX and Ann Arbor, MI.
