Victory Introduces Moving Parts IPA

By Staff - March 28, 2014

Victory Moving Parts(Press Release)

DOWNINGTOWN, PA—Victory Brewing Company’s (Victory) summer lineup will grow in 2014, as the brewery announces that two new brands, Moving Parts IPA and Summer Selections variety 12-pack, as well as the popular specialty 750mL, Wild Devil Ale, will hit shelves in May.

Moving Parts IPA

Available in 22oz. bottles and on draft, Moving Parts is an IPA series, celebrating the natural, simple, delicious and fundamental ingredients in beer. With a new batch number released every four months, Victory’s brewmasters will tweak different ingredients within the same recipe to create an endless array of possible flavor profiles.

“We like to mix it up,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “In celebration of our penchant for prolific experimentation, we present Moving Parts: The Ever-Evolving IPA.”

For the first in the series, MP01, Victory blended whole-flower hops from the U.S., U.K. and Germany, with German malts. The result is a well-balanced IPA featuring citrus and piney notes. At 7.2% ABV, it is extremely drinkable.

Variety of Victory Summer Selections

For the first time in Victory’s history, the brewery also will release a seasonal variety pack. Containing four of Victory’s most pleasing summer flavors, the mixed 12-pack will include fan-favorite Summer Love Ale®, as well as the long awaited return of Whirlwind® Witbier and two recipes from Victory’s new draft-only Hop Ticket Series,Session IPA and Dry Hopped Pils.“Variety of Victory’s Summer Selections is both an invitation to enjoyment and the reward for the journey,” said Covaleski.  “We believe this package is the perfect accompaniment to any summertime activity with four styles that are refreshing especially in warmer weather. Plus, we’re extremely excited to again offer Whirlwind Witbier, a brand our fans have been asking us to bring back since it was last released in 2012.”

WildDevil Ale

Victory’s popular WildDevil Ale also will return to shelves in May. Available in 750mL bottles and on draft, WildDevil is crafted by adding wild brettanomyces—responsible for the sharp tang and deep funk reminiscent of many Belgian ales—to Victory’s flagship HopDevil IPA. At 6.7% ABV, floral, aromatic hops still leap from this amber ale, as a host of new fermentation flavor kicks up notes of citrus and pine.
