Raleigh Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting on Jan. 26 Benefits Pints for Prostates

Raleigh, NC — The Second Annual Raleigh Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting was created to provide beer enthusiasts with the ultimate beer experience. Participating brewery representatives will pour 40 rare and vintage beers in an intimate environment, allowing attendants the opportunity to learn what makes these beers special and those that brewed them.

Tyler’s Restaurant & Taproom at 18 Seaboard Ave. in Raleigh is hosting the event which helps raise awareness and funds for the Pints for Prostates campaign.  http://www.pintsforprostates.org/

Commemorative stemmed glass, tasting notebook, passed appetizers, bottled water and sodas will be included in ticket price.   Imperial tickets also include an hour early access and a Raleigh Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting T-shirt. Tickets are $65 regular tasting ticket (3-6 p.m.) and $85 for imperial tasting tickets (starting at 2 p.m.). Designated driver tickets are $15. Information is available athttp://www.raleighrarebeertasting.com/. A list of  beers that participating beweries are posted on the site, but these beers are already scheduled to be poured:

Brouwerij Boon Oude Kriek (*Only keg in the country!)

Brooklyn “Ghost” bottles of Cuvee Elijah, 100% bottle-conditioned Blanche de Brooklyn and Radiusdraft

Bell’s Vintage 2010 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cherry Stout

Allagash Avance (3 year old Bourbon Barrel-Aged Strong Sour Ale w/Strawberries) & Allagash James Bean (Unblended Curieux w/locally roasted Matt’s cold press coffee)

Blue Mountain Sour Devil (Barrel-Aged American Wild Stout)

Smuttynose Original Vintage 2007 Really Old Brown Dog and Vintage 2007 Barleywine Ale

Attendance is limited and tickets are selling fast.
