DURHAM, N.C.–All About Beer Magazine announced today that Daniel Hartis has been named editor of the magazine. Hartis has served as the magazine’s digital manager for the past two years.
“Daniel has a great vision for our work,” said Chris Rice, publisher of All About Beer Magazine. “His passion and experience will contribute to his success in the editor role, and we are thrilled to have him lead our content forward.”
In addition to his role as digital manager for the magazine, Hartis has written hundreds of articles on beer for a variety of publications, including All About Beer Magazine, Beer Advocate, The Beer Connoisseur, The Local Palate, Our State, Food Republic and Paste Magazine.
He has also chronicled the beer scene in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the past seven years through CharlotteBeer.com, as well as through articles in The Charlotte Observer and CharlotteFive.com. Hartis is the author of two books: “Charlotte Beer: A History of Brewing in the Queen City” and “Beer Lover’s the Carolinas.”
