Carolina Brewery to distribute in Tennessee and South Carolina

By Staff - July 17, 2015

(Press Release)

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-Beers from Carolina Brewery, a North Carolina institution and pioneer for craft brewing throughout the U.S., are now available in new markets throughout Tennessee, including Nashville and Chattanooga, and South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach. Look for Carolina Brewery brews in restaurants and stores including Whole Foods Market, Publix, Mellow Mushroom, and Harris Teeter (please see here for a list of locations in all new markets).

Chattanooga-based SquareOne Holdings is an investor in Carolina Brewery. The firm provides advisory services to and invests in restaurants and brewery operations across the U.S. and in Canada.

Carolina Brewery’s beers are available in cans and on draft. Their signature, year-round brews include:

SKY BLUE GOLDEN ALE
ABV: 4.8% | IBU’S: 22 | HOPS: Hallertauer
A lighter beer with handcrafted integrity. This Kölsch style ale is spritzy, not too malty, with the pleasing aroma of imported Hallertauer hops.

FLAGSHIP IPA
ABV: 5.9% | IBU’S: 66 | HOPS: Chinook & Cascade
Unique floral aroma from the generous addition of Cascade hops to the fermenter in a procedure known as dry hopping.

COPPERLINE AMBER ALE
ABV: 5.2% | IBU’S: 33 | HOPS: Kent Golding
A brilliant red ale brewed with caramel and pale malts. The ale yeast lends a touch of fruit to complement the malt. Kent Golding hops yield just enough bitterness and aroma to round out the flavor.

Carolina Brewery’s two brewpub locations—one in Chapel Hill, NC, and one in Pittsboro, NC—house full-service restaurants and brewing facilities. Since Carolina Brewery was founded, the number of craft breweries in the region has exploded, with over 120 in North Carolina alone. Carolina Brewery’s unique strength lies in its rich history—while the company has grown over the past two decades, its mission remains the same: to brew the highest quality craft beer, made using only the best ingredients and techniques.

A graduate of the Siebel Institute of Technology & World Brewing Academy in Chicago, Jon Connolly has served as Carolina Brewery’s Brewmaster and Director of Brewing Operations for 20 years.
