U.S. Brewery Count Tops 3,000

The number of breweries operating in the United States continues to climb higher and higher. The total count, as of the end of June, was 3,040, according to the Brewers Association economist Bart Watson. The announcement noted this was the first time there have been more than 3,000 breweries in America since the 1870s. Additionally, there were 1,929 breweries in planning in June.
