Endeavour

All About Beer Magazine - Volume 34, Issue 2
May 1, 2013 By - -

Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

Houston, TX

Endeavour is a double IPA. This beer is best enjoyed at 45 degrees or even a little warmer.

ABV: 8.9

ABW: 7.1

COLOR: N/A

BITTERNESS: 76

ORIGINAL GRAVITY: 1078

AVAILABLE: LA, TX

Great label shows St. Arnold ascended into hop heaven, listing the hop varieties used—Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus. The lightest side of amber, with a slight haze and a bright white head. The nose is long-lasting, aromatic and distinct. Good mouth feel; on the palate, round and balanced with floral notes punctuating the yeasty malt character. Serve with a grass-fed steak, pomme frites and Caesar salad—hop heavenly!
- Charles Finkel
The label says 1 pint, 6 oz. What it doesn’t say is …of pure joy.  A golden and massively full-bodied “move over” IPA in the spirit of Texas and the spillway that endeavors to be craft-brewed perfection.  Malt provides plenty of support for the brilliantly distinct characters of Simcoe and Columbus hops.  The initial hop assault gives way to desire. This is a Mae West beer if I ever encountered one. Said she, “I generally avoid temptation unless I can’t resist it.” I submit. I submit.  A memorable IPA squared.
