EVENTS

March 11

Brew-Ski Festival

Harbor Springs, Michigan

A mixture of fun found on the slopes and in a glass of suds, this event combines 80 breweries pouring over 300 beers with live music, burgers and brats, and—of course—skiing at Boyne Highlands resort. Some of the brewers that will be present for this festival: Atwater Brewery, Dark Horse Brewing Co., New Holland Brewing Co. and Vander Mill Cider.

Barcelona Beer Festival

Barcelona, Spain

Guided beer tastings, dancing, seminars and events that highlight the local culture and cuisine are integral to this occasion, which drew 30,000 people last year. It is billed as the premier beer festival in southern Europe. A roughly 50-50 mix of Spanish beers and internationally recognized brews composes the 300-plus-beer lineup of this event.
