In the third episode of After Two Beers, John Holl sits down with Rebecca Newman, quality director at Summit Brewing Co. An industry veteran of more than three decades, Newman has worked with such well-known breweries as Anheuser-Busch, Boston Beer Co., Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

Driven by a passion for quality at the brewery, distributor and consumer level, Newman has spent years exploring why and how bad things happen to good beer. Sometimes she makes those bad things happen as part of the brewery’s “torture tests,” which she talks about in this podcast. She also discusses the mistakes she sees in the industry, growlers as potential “glass bombs,” and what brewers can learn from architects.
